In Hover, created with architect Adam Fure, a base of cotton batting is stretched, burnt, and wrapped around a hanging steel form. Materials used to sculpt the structure are sampled, spliced and re-projected through its batting walls. Composed and live sounds tangle into hyper-organic gestures that are triggered through sensors as spectators navigate the saturated perceptual space.
Hover debuted in the Spatial Shift Exhibition at Gallery Project in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
